Welcome
Welcome to the Special Interest Website for the Leighton Linslade U3A walking groups.
This is linked to the main Leighton Linslade U3A website and, in addition to being able to hold more detailed information specifically for members of our walking groups, its main raison d’etre is to publish summaries of some of our members’ walks as a blog in the Diary page. Since a picture speaks a thousand words, much of the content may be photographic.
Use the sidebar (on the left) to navigate the various pages. In the sidebar you can also filter Diary entries for a specific group (those that have posted any) or for a specific month. If you are looking for something more specific, there is also a search facility – enter a keyword in the text box and click <search>.
Have at it – enjoy!

Hi
I would like to draw your attention to my website http://happyhiker.co.uk which I set up in my “Third Age” after I retired to record walks that I do but more importantly to provide accurate and easy to follow instructions for others to enjoy these walks too (with PDF text downloads of the directions and GPX/Memory map downloads for those that use GPS receivers).
It is obvious from the walks I do that many retired people also enjoy walking – most of the people I see walking midweek are older people.
I think U3A members who enjoy walking and/or who sometimes visit the areas where my walks are located might find my site useful. All the information is free and I am not selling anything. Perhaps you could draw the attention of your members to the site.
Regards
John Kelly
